Mary Mallins

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Mallins who passed away on February 3, 2022.

She was loved by many including her late husband Harvey (Hank) Mallins, her late daughter Debbie, her son Danny and daughter in-law Cheryl. Her granddaughters Alyssa (Lorin) and Alana and her great-grandchildren Brianna and Kayla. She took great pride in the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren.

She will be remembered for her loving heart, nurturing character, sense of style, love of theatre and her beautiful hair. She will be deeply missed by many who loved her dearly. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada. https://alzheimer.ca.

Danny: I was deeply saddened to learn of your mother's passing. As your father's cousin from the Spring side of the family, I am filled with many memories of times we shared long ago and of the fun and frolicking of the Malinsky family. I remember your parents drawing a crowd of onlookers while they were jitterbugging on the sidewalk at College and Spadina. May your memories also comfort you at this sad time and in years to come.

Mary & Harvey we’re good friends of my late sister, Gilda Midanik Noble. They had many wonderful times together in the early days. I would see Mary from time to time and reminisce about all the fun times. May her memory be a loving blessing to her family……

I remember Mary Shacter-Mallins from 62 Grange Avenue and Ogden Public School, as I was friends with the Shacter girls., from a lovely family. Mary was the baby of the three girls, always sweet, kind and loving, and married Hank. May her Neshuma have an Aliya in Gan Eden.

To my buddy Dan, Cheryl and family, my deepest condolences to you my friend. I met your mom as I was asked to fix some plumbing issues in her shower. Not only did your mother remind me of my mom I felt like they were sisters. Everything that your mother did throughout her life was the same things that I saw in my mother. One example was the Friday appointment at the hairdresser, it did not matter if the weather was bad or something else came up they both had to get there hair done.
