Rusonik, Mary Evelyn
Mary Rusonik, born on October 29th, 1931, passed away on Wednesday, January 8th, 2025.
Mary came to Toronto from New Brunswick at 19 years old to make a better life for herself and to be able to send money home to her parents.
Mary was a loving and much loved Mom to Reid and Anthony, Mother-in-law to Jo-Anne and Lynne, and Bubbie to Rachel, Yael, Daniel, Elise and Socks.
Behind Mary’s quiet demeanour was a strong woman, with a tremendous sense of kindness, compassion and courage. In her retirement years, Mary volunteered at Sick Kids Hospital. She was a skilled bridge player, an avid reader, and a deeply spiritual person, who adored music. Yet with all of her accomplishments in life, Mary was most proud of her family.
Mary will be greatly missed.
