May Sand

We are deeply saddened to share the news that our beloved May Sand passed away peacefully on April 27, 2021 at the age of 93. Loving wife to Saul Sand (Z”L), mother to Gloria Gordon (Brian), Robin Sand (Marc Halbfinger). Cherished Bubi to Jennifer (Vito), David (Meredith), Danielle, Roey (Hila) and Tamar and great-grandmother to Parker. Sister to Toby Galinsky and Sally Sherman (Z”L).

Her faith in Judaism and Israel, love for her family and friends along with her expertise in Jeopardy will be greatly missed.

Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Sunrise of Thornhill Retirement Community.

To the Sand Family My sincere condolences on May's passing. My father was a resident at Sunrise for several years and during that time May and I developed a close friendship over that period. I would quite often split my dinner time with my father and with May. We had wonderful discussions and it always made me feel good when she would smile the minute she'd see me .
