It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mel Moscoe, beloved husband of Marlene for 54 years, loving father and father-in-law of Shawn & Suzy, Aaron & Melanie and Tami & Eric. Proud Zaidy of Josh, Adam, Mya, Matthew, Jory, Sammy, Quincey, Lilah & Micah; brother and brother-in-law of Donny & Sondra, Barbara & David & Janice. Mel will be missed by nieces, nephews and many friends. Mel had a deep strong commitment to family and friends. Limited Outdoor visits will be welcomed at 291 Forest Hill Rd. Marlene and Family. Tina and I are so very sorry for your loss, and for our loss of an old friend. We’ll never forget Mel’s friendship to Glen when they were both in Denver. Tina and I will never forget your honeymoon movies. I remember so many very old, but good memories of Mel, as far back as camp Gill when we were 16 years old. My bar mitzvah was supposed to be the same Saturday morning as Mel’s, but his Mom booked the Adath Israel before my Mom, and as a result, mine was the following week. Although Mel and I are cousins, it was our friendship that I cherished. Please accept our sincerest condolences.

Mel and I met almost 70 years thru my cousin David Gold and we have been friends ever since. Shawnee met him and Marlene 39 years ago. Mel was fond of saying that we were family and that is how we felt. From baseball and hockey to weddings, bar and bat mitzvah, children’s weddings and then grandchildren’s bar and bat mitzvahs, we shared in it all. Mel was all about family and friends and all these testaments to Mel are his legacy. We will miss having him in our lives.
