It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Harendorf, born on June 3, 1946 in London, England. He passed away peacefully on December 9, 2023 in Toronto.
Michael was a devoted husband to Fran (Dubczanski) for 55 years, a loving father to Adam, Melissa, and Ilana, and a proud grandfather to Avery and Reid. He was also a beloved father-in-law to Matthew, Kristin, and Susan.
Michael was a man of many passions. He was a lover of music, having sung and played the guitar since his teenage years. He was also always full of humour, always making those around him laugh.
Michael was extremely dedicated to his family. He was especially proud of his children and grandchildren, and was always eager to spend time with them. He was also very close to his cousins, and enjoyed spending time with them whenever he could.
In his retirement, Michael dedicated himself to volunteering at WoodGreen Community Services where he was able to mentor many newcomers to Canada. He was a kind and generous man, and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Michael will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Due to health circumstances and upcoming surgeries, the family has regrettably decided to sit Shiva privately.
