It is with a heavy heart we announced the passing of Michael Gordon on Friday, December 6, 2024, at Mackenzie Health Hospital. Michael was a loving and devoted husband to Roni, his beloved wife of 55 years. A cherished and devoted partner to Manuela, father and father in law to Peter and Kim, Stacey and Steve, Heidi and Zev. He was a loving and fun Papa to Zachary, Abby, Jesse, Marley, Rachel, Evan, Jesse and Mackenzie. He was so loved and will be so missed!

Shiva Details: Following the funeral on Sunday, Shiva visitors are welcome to the family home until 4:00 p.m., and from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Shiva will continue on Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

I believe Mike and I had a very special relationship as friends. I know he had a tough beginning and turned it into a wonderful fulfilling life with the help of your late mother and grandmother. He spoke to me of his children all of the time with love, affection and pride. We would speak to each other almost everyday making each other laugh like two idiots until we couldn’t any longer. We spent countless times together of which hundreds of memories have been made. Dear Manuela, Heidi, Zev, Mackenzie, Peter and the Gordon family. Thank you all for sharing Mikey with us all these years. We had the honour to have spent some great boating years with “Captain Klunk” and Roni which we will cherish forever. In these last few years, our time with Mike and Manuela were pure gold and we consider ourselves lucky to have had so many nights out and weekends away together. There was never a dull evening with you both. From dinners out, wedding celebrations, parties, watching plays to listening to live concerts, there was no shortage of laughs and great conversation. We are so grateful to have spent your last birthday morning together. Mike was happy and loved and he knew that and he appreciated it. He gave the best hugs and we will never forget the childlike twinkle in his eyes. We will remember you always Mike, especially when we order a “Coke Zero in a can with a glass full of ice on the side”. Rest easy now faithful friend!
