Mikey, What can I possibly say to describe the ache in my heart? You meant so much to me. And I never got the chance to tell you. But somehow, I know you’ll hear this. Because love like this moves beyond words. I first started calling you my friend when I was seventeen. We were young. Naïve. Drifting. But it was the good kind of drifting, we blew aimless as the wind. We were the lost boys of Neverland. And every time we met, it felt like an adventure. Being around you was electric. And I know why. It was your energy. You carried something rare. A kind of purity. An innocence that never left. Even as life got heavier, that light in you never dimmed. It is your essence. And it always will be. I never had a biological brother. But I am proud to say that you are my brother. We grew up together. Two decades of memories. So many precious moments. I remember the walks, before we had cars. Later, just sitting in your car while you played your rap music, chilling with the boys. Me in the back seat, nodding to the beat. Basketball games. Late-night drives. Parks, parties, road trips. Endless laughing tantrums. Playoff games. It was always an adventure with you. Not because of where we went, but because you were there. But the deepest mark you left is not just in memories. It’s in the life you lived. Because what you embodied, what you still embody, is transformation. You made a choice to change. To better yourself. When you turned vegan, it wasn’t just about cutting meat. It was an awakening. You chose vitality. You chose ethics. You chose to become a new version of yourself. And you did. You became an adonis. But more than that, you became a symbol. A reminder that change is possible. That transformation is possible through hard work, discipline and dedication. We experienced countless synchronicities together, again and again. As if the universe kept showing us that reality runs deeper than we think. You shared your dreams with me. I shared mine. And you showed up in my dreams often. And every time, it was the same theme: adventure. That is how I know the journey continues. Just not here. Not in this form. You’re in good hands, Mikey.
