Minnie Leibovitch

Min was a truly lovely person, and we will gratefully cherish her memory. Together with her late husband Hy, of blessed memory, she has left a precious legacy of good deeds and a wonderful family.

I’m so sorry to hear this, Minnie was my Mom’s neighbour at Baycrest, I have a little Maltese dog named Mini, so I would always let the two Minnie’s visit and Minnie just loved it. RIP sweet lady. Jenny Carr and Joanne Paquete

To the Leibo Family: I spent a lot of time in my close friendship with Hy z”l and Min. They were both wonderful and loving teachers of Judaism and I remember many lovely meals at their home. May be you be comforted amongst the members of Zion.

My name is Sylvia Rosen and here is my connection to Minnie….Minnie’s Father married my Father’s Sister and my aunt became her Step Mother although I never saw it quite that way…. I grew up with Minnie and Moe as my cousins. Minnie was a lovely and sweet and kind cousin…. I even babysat for the Leibovitch children when there was only one or two. My regret is that we somehow lost touch in the voyage of life. It is said that when a person dies The Family Cries but the Soul Rejoices and I hope that is the Truth. May Memories Sustain you and May She Rest In Peace Eternal.

To Minnie’s family, We were saddened today to hear the news of Minnie’s passing. We remember fondly her gentle and kind nature and how she loved to be at the Bernard Betel Centre. Rena, Howie, Ralph, Peter's Family, and the Next Generations, we loved getting together with your mom. She was always in such a good mood, delighted to be out and at a shabbat meal. She made it easy to enjoy her company. Your mom gave us incentive to make great food as she certainly enjoyed tasty dishes and desserts! Of course, we have known your parents, Min and Hy (Mr. and Mrs. Leibo when I was little), for a long, long time. They fill us with only positive memories and inspiration. Both your parents raised caring, menchedich children but they also helped raise a community in Edmonton. Please accept our condolences on the loss of your dear mother, Savta, and great-grandmother.
