Mira Kipper

To the Kipper family, Mrs. Kipper Z"L was a very unique woman. I had the distinct privilege of getting to know her over 30 plus years and moreso, over the past 25 years. A brave Holocaust survivor, she had regaled her listeners with many awe inspiring stories; her love of Scrabble and her insights on the game was mind boggling; there of course was her love of the family that she created after the many losses of the Shoah. A Torah rich family of 3 and 4 generations M.rs. Kipper was involved deeply with the Jewish and Torah community and was known and respected. At a Shabbat or Yom Tov table, she held her own and was not shy about imparting her knowledge. She was beloved by her children and their progeny and had the merit to share in bar mitzvahs, weddings, Brit milahs, graduations of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She defied Hitler, machchamo (his memory should be erased). Lastly, she was happy to include me in the past 25 years, as too her late son, Gary of Blessed Memory and his wife, my beloved friend Malcie and their entire family, as 'family' and I will always be forever grateful to the Kipper's, past and present for the welcoming love and respect that they continue to gift me with. I will miss Mrs. Mira Kipper and so glad that she survived the Holocaust with dignity and that she would go on to excel on so many personal levels and had merited to have a very long and productive life and to have been loved and ultimately missed by so many people.
