Survived by her children Steven (Vickie), Shelley (Raymond), Terri (Niall), Jeff (Deborah) and daughter-in-law Risa (Chaim, deceased), who all loved and cared for her deeply, and by her beloved siblings; her sister Bernice (Maurice, deceased) and brothers Jack (Louise) and Ruby (Julie).

Matriarch to her 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, both in Canada and Israel, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a woman of valour, who had a love of life, always with family and friends close at hand, whether lighting candles for Shabbat, baking honey cake or strudel for Jewish holidays, visiting friends at the Baycrest Centre, or exercising with the AquaBabes in her apartment complex. She was a long-time member of the Beth Torah Synagogue and its first female president. She was a member of Na’amat (Pioneer Women) for over 60 years and president several times over of her local chapter, Club Beersheba, as well as a member of other Jewish women’s organizations. She grew up on Robert Street, in the old Jewish neighborhood of Toronto, regularly staying in touch with the “Robert Street Girls”, and attended Harbord Collegiate, where she remained an active alumnus.

She was never without her camera, and her photos were a regular feature in the Canadian Jewish News. From her vibrant red hair to her generous heart, she was loved by all her knew her and will be greatly missed.
