Peacefully, on Tuesday February 15, 2021 with famly, beloved wife of the late David Starr z’l devoted mother and mother -in-law of Trudy Bleier and Rita and Carey Drutz, dearly cherished Bubbie of Glen and Deborah Drutz, Joshua Starr and Michelle Drutz. Great Bubbie of Farrah and Mia. Dear sister and sister-in-law of the late Max and Jean Singer z’l, Joe and Ida Singer z’l, and Jennie and Ivan Kalson z”l. She will be sorely missed by her many nephews and nieces, cousins and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Gurau, Simone, Ronnal, Lorna, and Carmen for their exceptional care and compassion throughout Molly’s years at the Baycrest, and to Brenda and the Creative Arts Studio crew for allowing Molly to discover her artistic talents and thrive.

Special mention to the clergy of Beth David B’Nai Israel Beth Am Synagogue for their spiritual support, and special welcome Molly every Sunday morning. In addition, many thanks to the Sunday morning Minyan gang, for their community friendship. Memorial donations may be made to the Baycrest Foundation or the Beth David B’Nai Israel Beth Am Synagogue.

Her passing marks the end of a generation where family was more than parents and children but cousins growing up together and aunts and uncles who loved us and truly cared. What a lady! Molly z"l was a regular in the art studio at Baycrest. She had her own spot and as soon as she entered the room she would point to her spot, look at the work for the day and say loudly, "Oh Baby!" The happiness she brought us all was palpable and contagious. She was unstoppable, with non-stop painting until we almost had to drag her from the studio... and we had to promise to bring her the next day. We were lucky to get to know her wonderful doting daughters, Trudy and Rita and we were allowed to be part of their mutual admiration club. We all enjoyed the visits from them and Farrah and we loved watching Molly shepping Nachas. Molly loved showing her pride and joy. Just a few days before she died, we painted together and of course admired her fabulous makeup and glitter nail polish. Always looking amazing! It was inspirational knowing Molly z"l.
