With great sadness we announce the passing of Mona Ship on Wednesday, January 4th at the age of 44, following a battle that she fought with tremendous dignity and courage. Daughter of Peter and Sue Ship and the late Rhoda Ship, sister of the late Darren Ship. Loving granddaughter of the late Betty and Al Ship and the late Sonia and Moe Garonce. She will be lovingly remembered by her extended family; her aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and colleagues. Sincere thanks to Dr. Raymond Jang at Princess Margaret Hospital. We also wish to thank Dr. Candice Silversides at Toronto General Hospital for her ongoing care and dedication, and Dr. Jack Sandler for his compassion and comfort. Grateful thanks to nurses Jennifer Petronius and Natalia Postica. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Steeles Memorial Chapel, 350 Steeles Ave. West, Thornhill. Interment to follow at Pardes Shalom Cemetery, Chabad Lubavich of Markham section.
