Dear Alan and family. I knew Mickey for the last 25 years and your mom as well. I enjoyed our frequent conversations and he always was an example of how to conduct business. He loved your mom , his sons, his daughter in laws and his grand kids so much. Nothing gave him more joy then to speak about all of them. We would often have a cup of beet juice together in his kitchen or a ginger ale. We would speak about his days in Okotok growing up Jewish and how he was so fiercely proud of his heritage. I remember how he took me to the YMCA and we would play racquetball and he would easily and deftly dispose of me as an opponent with such humility despite him being 35 years older than me. He was so graceful out there. My daughters who met he and your mom once or twice when they were just toddlers, now they are 23, would always ask how he and Irene were. This was a man who left an impression on people. I spoke with Mickey last about a month ago with the oft delayed plan of seeing each other once the protocols at Baycrest permitted. I will always carry his smile and firm handshake in my heart. I will miss him immensely May his memory be a blessing to those who knew him. Yaron and Tracy Haik

To the Kaplan family I extend my heartfelt condolences on the passing of your dad and grandfather. The Copoloffs had a close bond with your parents for so many years. Your mom and dad welcomed me with warm open hearts when I moved to Toronto in 1977. I have fond memories of shabbat dinners at their home. Your mom served the best chicken ever while your dad carved it like a surgeon. May you find comfort and peace in cherished memories.

Dear Alan, Sharon, Elisheva and families: I am in Florida and just read of the loss of your beloved Mickey. Irene and Mickey were dear friends of ours. Sid and Mickey loved their handball games...Mickey was blessed to avoid hip surgery unlike most of the players. Mickey always greeted you with a big smile and warm hello. He was always interested in our children and what they were up to. Your parents shept much nachas from their sons, daughters-in-law and children. They were so proud.
