Peacefully, on Thursday, March 24, 2022. Adoring husband of the late Renee (nee Schwartz).  Cherished father and father-in-law of Michael and Francine, Harvey and Gail, Terry, Victor and Angela .  Adored Zaidy of Jillian, Houston and Resa, and Marshall, and Big Zaidy of Rory Faye. Beloved brother and brother-in-law of the late Ruth and Rachmiel Bergman; the late Lily and Ben Malt; the late Jean and Victor Putter and the late Jack and Annita Zuckerman.

Morris left Poland on the proverbial last boat before the invasion of the Nazis; he owed his life and that of his parents and siblings to the true hero Tommy Douglas who literally vouched for his family to be admitted to Canada at a time when the government of Mackenzie King lived by the cruel mantra of “None is Too Many” in reference to Jewish immigration.  Morris will be remembered as a sweet, gentle man who loved his family above all else.  He will be missed tremendously by all those who were fortunate enough to have him in their lives. The family wishes to thank the incredible staff of the 5th floor of the Apotex Centre, Baycrest, who truly are angels who walk this earth; they treated Morris as their own zaidy and made every day of his life a quality day by showering him with loving care.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Kehal Israel Memorial Park, 4189 Sources Blvd. Dollard.

Donations in Morris’ memory may be made to the Baycrest Morris Zuckerman Memorial Fund 416-785-2875
