My condolences to Morry's family and loved ones. I worked with him years ago in community corrections and I learnt so much from him during that time. He was so knowledgeable, he helped so many people through his work and he touched a lot of lives. He was one of a kind with a heart of gold and he will be missed. Thank you Morry, RIP.

I was so sorry to hear about Morry's passing. He certainly touched the lives of a lot of people that he worked with and beside. I remember the day he interviewed me for a position at SLST. I thought I was doing terrible, I was fresh out of university and brand new to the big city. He was patient and kind and even then was guiding and teaching me. So many people learned a great deal from him over the years and he was always willing to help. He was passionate about helping his clients and was a wonderful advocate for many. My thoughts are with the Ulrich family in this difficult time.

Morry Ulrich was a support and friend of mine for over 14 years. Morry was there when i was at my worse, and Morry was there when i was at my best, Morry was always there. Morry believed in me 100% before i believed in myself, he was always in my corner. Morry did whatever he could to make my life easier. I could call Morry at any time day or night and he was there to take my call if available. Over the years i called Morry many times at all hours of the day and night during times of distress, and at times just as a friend saying hello and catching up. Morry was a professional who gave his heart and passion into helping and caring for others. He was a great part of my journey, and over time I considered him more of a friend than a professional doing his job. Morry went above and beyond to be there for me and others, dedicating not only his office time but also his personal time outside the office. Morry Ulrich was my friend on a professional level for many years and then moved on to be my friend for years on a personal level. I shared many phone calls with Morry weeks before his passing. I use to call him once in a while just to check up on him and to let him know he wasn't forgotten and give my support. He shared his struggles and suffering with me and i was there to listen. I think about him daily and wish i had done more, but didn't know there was little time left. I was supposed to visit him, and now wish i had done so right away. Im am glad he is at peace now and is no longer suffering. I lost a friend, and the world lost a great man. The person i am today and who i was 14 years ago are two different people. My personal development was made possible because of people like Morry, and is proof that there is always hope and possibility for change. I am grateful and blessed to have had his friendship. Rest in peace Morry, and thank you, i'll make you proud.

I am saddened to just learn of Morry's passing. I was a colleague of Morry back in the late 1980s when we both worked part-time at the Clarke Institute of Psychiatry. I also worked with him at the CTI Canadian Training Institute where Morry was an outstanding researcher in the field of community corrections. Morry touched a huge number of community mental health workers in Ontario when he delivered a number of educational programs on community safety in the 1990s.
