Frances, Nomi and Yoni and family, We are so sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved Moishe. We have only good memories and smiles when we think of this sweet, kind man. I remember how he never missed a Shabbat to honour Frances with flowers and how they were enjoyed by all of us when you brought them to the office. I am so sorry to hear about Moshe. I never saw him without a smile on his face, walking his dog on Bathurst Street, waving at passing cars. He made the world brighter and he will be missed.

We were very saddened to hear today about the sudden passing of Moishe. At Or Chaim he always greeted us with his cheerful smile and demeanor. It was Moishe who introduced us to Tomchei Shabbas and it became one of the regular charities to which we donate. Our condolences to Frances and the entire family. It was wonderful to see him at so many UJA events that he attended, there not only in support of the community but especially in support of his beloved Francis. Frances and family. As you know I had been davening fervently for Moishe Z"L and had hoped for a different outcome. Hakodosh Baruchu had His own plans for Moshe. I was so very saddened and will miss his big smile and wishing me a Happy Monday, Tuesday, etc. It was always an occasion to see him waving to the cars, his happy face mask or 'Joker'. You never knew what he would dress like or what kind of headpiece would grace the top of his kipa. Then there was of course his leashed companion...first old Max, small, white and furry with the bark of a canine the knew his place in the world and Moishe would be delighted to pull out a doggie snack and occasionally offered me a chance to indulge Max. Then after Max... Moishe took much pleasure in another small white dog, Elvis. He adored Frances and took pleasure in his children and grandchildren and his black granddoggie. Dear Frances, A sudden loss is so difficult to process. A month or two ago I was having a manicure, and saw Moishe sitting on the bench outside smiling and talking on his phone. When I came out, he had already left. I will always remember returning from any trip with you, and there at the airport was Moishe, with flowers. Frances, I was so sorry to hear about Moishe’s sudden passing. I feel like I just saw him just a couple of weeks ago shopping. I loved his waves near the Villsge Shul as I navigated getting on to Eglinton. I loved getting to know him better when he would walk with your sweet doggie and deliver wonderful food for the homeless during Covid. What a kind person he was. Francis , and your entire family , you must know how deep Moishe touched all of us . His smile , the kindness in his eyes , the warmth that he gave to everyone will keep his memory alive within all of us . He was never to busy to stop talk and make you feel so comfortable and happy .. He truly was a mensch with a very big heart .

To Frances. Ever so sorry to hear of Moishe's sudden passing. I had the opportunity to see Moish this past year on the Walk For Israel. Our chiropractors and the last time I had seen Moishe was in Washington to stand in solidarity for the release of the Hostages in Gaza. Only knowing him for a short time, he was always chearful and was determined and never a quitter. May the family know no more sorrow. A great loss to the community. May his soul have an aliyah. Be strong.

Frances and family: When I started my sole practice with my clerk, Zina, we shared office space with Tom. Tom was so kind and helpful through those years, not only with his smile and encouragement, but also with his "strategic" discussion of cases with me to calm my nerves. Tom will be sorely missed. Dear Mrs. Goldstein and Family: I first met Moishe at the Village Shul 2 years ago. Always smiling …Our initial encounter was he waved to me from across the street and his greeting was so warm, genuine and welcoming. One Shabbas I had the merit of walking behind him several feet and he greeted everyone - Jew and gentile alike with the biggest smile, wave and a word to some. Another time, just this past summer he lained which was not something he did very often and it was so beautifully done not yeshiva-ish at all. There was palpable reverence - a soft yet resolute timbre of his voice with each word - such a beautiful speed and cadence. I asked him where he learned to lain so beautifully … I said you don’t hear that kind of laining and he proudly responded that his father taught him with glistening in his eyes. …. Humbly and pleasantly surprised when I asked. His great light is going to be missed terribly in the community and along the Bathurst-Eglinton/ Lawrence Corridor and of course seeing him out and about with his faithful pup at his side. May you truly be comforted by all the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem and know how very blessed we all are to have been touched by such a happy, bright and tender soul!
