Mozelle Kanner

Although we are all saddened and feel a deep loss on the passing of Mrs Mozelle Kanner, I can only look back at her "life as well lived". She would call me occasionally to play tennis when she was short a player and it was such a treat to see how active and fit she was. I actually mused on the day of her burial "this is a great day for tennis"! I understood her great need to be active and continue her sports. Before the chair lift was put into the Shul by her thoughtful sons, she would climb up the stairs to the ladies section. I had to chuckle when asked about how she was doing she complained about her aches and pains in her legs and yet she was still climbing those stairs!!! What a woman. It was because of her example that I began taking family ski holidays a few weeks before Pesach every year, for the last 20 years at least. She encouraged me to do my sports and never give into the quiet-slow paced life of my other elderly friends. I will never forget Mozelle, her insistence on perfection and always doing the best in the right way. Her devotion to her husband and family are an example for all of us to learn from. Her many Brochos are seen in the generations she leaves behind. She lead a Full and Righteous Life until Hashem Took Her Home. My deepest condolences to the Kanner family. I thoroughly enjoyed the conversations we shared and I was always very impressed with her sharpness and wisdom. She was so proud of her beautiful and loving family and was a proud matriarch. She will be dearly missed. May her memory be a blessing.

I am so sorry about Mozelle. She was a real force at Mayfair and thoughts of her feistiness make me smile.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Mrs. Kanner OBM. She was a dear and wonderful person who thoughtfully called us every year on our birthdays and sang us her happy birthday wishes.
