Musia Baichman Yakovna Meirson, passed away on June 13th at Baycrest Nursing Home, just short of her 87th birthday. She died as she lived: quietly and with dignity. She was born in the town of Frunzovka, near Odessa, on October 8, 1934. She married Gregory Meirson in 1956 and they left for Israel in 1971. She immigrated to Canada in 1975 and lived in Toronto. Gregory Meirson passed away in 1983. Musia remarried Edward Grenader in 1991. Musia was one of the most organized, positive and generous people you could ever meet. She worked as a bookkeeper in Odessa and when she came to Canada, became an office manager for Open Window Bakery where she continued to work until her retirement. She was an incredible cook, and the family always looked forward to the celebrations she arranged at her home for the Jewish holidays. Beloved sister to Dora (Izzy), aunt to Leon (Anna) , Boris (Joy) and great-aunt to Jordan, Sarah, Nathalie and Jake. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
