Rosenberg, Naomi Esther. Passed away on June 2, 2016. Beloved wife of Garry. Loving and devoted mother and mother-in-law of Jaime Rosenberg and fiance Shane Stebbins, and Jordana and Jordan Cohen. Survived by her sisters Ellen Plener and Donna Kalmanson-Shuman, and brother-in-law Hy Rosenberg. Predeceased by her brother-in-law Gerry Plener. She will be sadly missed by her cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Princess Margaret Hospital for their support and care. The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at Steeles Memorial Chapel, 350 Steeles Ave. West, Thornhill. Interment to follow at Pardes Chaim Cemetery, Community section. Even though I only met Naomi a handful of times through passing at the grocery store or at the gym, she was always so sweet and caring. Jordana I am so very sorry for the loss of your mother. I only know to well the emptiness and sorrow you are experiencing right now. We both learned of our parents last year around the same time and that they shared the same cancer. Having lost my dad in September an now your mom. I wish you and your family all the strength and support that is needed during this difficult time.

To the Rosenberg and Cohen families: No words that I write can ever express my sorrow for your loss and the passing of Naomi. She will always be in our hearts and in our thoughts. Her light will shine on through her two wonderful daughters and through the love they and all of us have for Naomi and for Gary. To Naomi's family...It has been many, many years since I have seen or spoken with Naomi. She was my camper at Camp Shalom back in the 1960's. She was sweet, bubbly and always with a beautiful smile. I remember her upbeat spirit and warm personality. She was just a few years younger than me and our paths crossed a few times in the years after camp. I lived in London from 1986 to 1994 and got to know her mother Lil through my community involvements. I was so sad to see Naomi's obituary on this site and to know that she was taken far too soon. But I have smiled to read the wonderful things said about her life and to know that she was. So loved by her family and friends. I always knew back 50 years ago that she would bring joy and light to everyone on her life's journey. I embrace you all with my sincere condolences on your great loss and wish you strength and comfort in the days ahead. I know that Naomi's legacy will live on through each of you.
