Naomi Kideckel

Naomi posted regularly on Facebook, and we shared many transit rides together over the years. She was always a major Toronto Blue Jays fan, and I enjoyed the Canadian Opera Company. She challenged me to attend a baseball game with her, and I challenged her to go to the opera and stay wide awake! We went together to see FIDDLER ON THE ROOF at Stratford. She brought me chicken soup and a plant when I came back from the hospital after my first bout with Covid. She brought me Aspirin when it was cheaper at COSTCO than Shoppers. Kept simple, she was great fun to be with, very spirited. She also delighted to dress up for Halloween, and usually revelled in her costume on the transit. My condolences to Martin Kideckel her beloved husband of fifty years.... She will be missed by many.

I am so sorry for your family's loss of Naomi. We worked in the same office a long time ago and she was always very friendly and had the best decorated cubicle. She will be greatly missed.

To Martin and Ian and the entire family. Having worked with your mother since 1991, it saddens me to hear of Naomi’s passing. Naomi was always spirited, full of surprises and the office looked forward to the holidays because her cubicle would be decorated accordingly. Halloween was her favorite time and the whole office waited in anticipation to see what antics and costumes Naomi would wear riding the subway and in the office that year. Rest in peace my former colleague, you made working at the IRB an adventure!

Dear Family, We were very sorry to hear of Naomi's passing. Our sincerest sympathy to the entire family. We had the pleasure of seeing and chatting with Naomi at our Agudas Hamishpocha breakfasts where she was a regular attendee and where she will be missed. May her memory be a blessing.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Naomi was a wonderful person to work with. She was always ready to get into full costume for halloween, or any holiday and decorate her cubicle with all kinds of decorations. She love playing Mrs Clause at all the kids Christmas parties. May she rest in peace.

Leon and Elaine, Martin and Ian and families, I was by saddened to learn of Naomi's petira. She had always been very friendly and respectful to me, as was Martin. I could always discern the loving and close relationship that Martin shared with his beloved Naomi and from what I could see throughout the years; it was obvious that Naomi loved her dear husband deeply. Martin, you will always have that to help sustain you at this sad time. Ian has lost his mother who loved her son and I hope that Ian will be strengthened and to hold dear the memory of his beloved mother. Leon, as your former sister-in-law for close to 30 years, I am sure your heart is breaking with the loss of your sister... your last to your first degree family of the Genesove circle. You have many memories of growing up with your sister Naomi that only belong to you and they should be a salve to ease the void in your heart and I am sure that your wife, Elaine will be there for you and to do what she can to ease your loss. Naomi of Blessed Memory will be with her and your dear parents Z'L, Ira and Celia and they will all be watching over their son, brother, husband and son-in-law, Martin and their son and grandson, Ian.
