Dear Marilyn, My dearest condolences to you and your family. Neil was a close colleague of so many of us in the shoe business here in Ontario. He and I along with many associates travelled together and worked the trade show circuit together with Neil for the past 25 years as friends. As I'm sure you know, in our circles he was famous for positive nature, kind heart and great sense of humour. Many of us will sadly miss his advice and assistance with our IT problems as he was always so much more knowledgable and will to help us with all technological short comings. His shoe expertise, importing and product development knowledge was recgnized by both retailers and vendors alike and I know that he will hold a special place in so many of our hearts. My Condolences to your family. Neil and I spent many hours together over the years - he was always entertaining. I’ll share a funny story of our last golf adventure - Neil was walking around in “talking” golf shoes (didn’t realize right away). His shoes had suffered from Hydrolysis - known in the footwear industry when the polyurethane breaks down - it was obvious that he hadn’t used them enough! He treated himself to a new pair half way through our round. We giggled about it for many months after that. I always referred to him as inspector gadget - he had the right tools when needed and he would just pull them out like magic. He was always there when we needed him (and sometimes when we didn’t ?). He enjoyed lengthy phone conversations and I often had to cut him off - he would say I know, I know, I’ll keep it short and he never did. He was always bringing us the best sandwiches from the deli and supported every one of our events. Everyone will miss the “big foot” candy jar at the next trade show and there will always be a place in my heart for our dear co-worker and friend Neil. Xoxox

Dear Family. Neil and I always had a great time together at the shoe shows during travel season . He was always walking around with jars of red gummies, lips etc., and I was always more than willing to accept . We especially had a good time together when we went to restaurants that were featured on you got to eat here. He had a great smile, funny laugh, and always willing to lend a hand to either of us if required. He was always fun to be with. Your husband and father was always a real and true Mensch. Neil knows me and he knows that I don't speak much English. I am very saddened to learn that he died. I have a very good memory I worked for several years with him for Cie Ganka Inc. He was an honest and upright man. He taught me a lot about the Jewish community. He often talked to me about his wife Marilyn and his daughters. He was very proud of you.
