To Yeta and Seym it is with sadness when I heard of Mum's passing, however I shall always remember the wonderful times we had together , I am sorry I could not come for her last days ,but we spoke . Always remember to forget, the things that made you sad, But never forget to remember, the things that made you glad. with love your Uncle Joe

When I think of Nettie I think of flowers . We spent lots of time looking at and discussing her plants as we walked through her garden, Many of her plants found a new home in my gardens and subsequently in my daughters where I can enjoy them today. When I think of Nettie I think of courage which she had to have living at The Castle in Auschwitz and subsequently crossing the Atlantic to live with the Roet Family. Having lost the opportunity to attend school she made her way working in a shoe factory and then sewing for a seamstress and then for her own clients. When I think of Nettie I think of the gracious hostess she was as she entertained us on many occasions. There were always wonderful friends to share the plentiful feast provided. The New Years party became a favorite to many of us. When I think of Nettie I think of her many visits to our house to share in holidays and visits from Moe (Renee Roet my mother in law) When I think of Nettie I think of the myriad gifts she gave us over the years. Her Peace Plant is blooming as I write, I can't scrape peel from a lemon without thinking of her, or putting laundry in her old laundry basket every day, a gift for helping with her garage sale, along with many other things. When I think of Nettie I will miss her very much but I know she is now in a better place. So I send my love to her family., and that of all my family to them and wish them strength in the days ahead, Tricia, Josh, Melanie, Dejan, Luka, and Milan

Dear Seymour and Yeta I remember your Mom as a very soft-spoken nice woman who was very kind and friendly whenever I visited your home on Isabella too many years ago. I remember her Dutch accent when calling Seymour to the phone had I telephoned. So sorry for your loss. I hope warm memories will make for better days.
