Dear Mommy, What can I say. Thank you for everything you've done for us. You went through hell to get to Canada after the war. I may not have understood you growing up, and even in my own seasoned age, I'm still learning about how your life was devastated by Hitler's war. You should be proud of the daughters you raised, me and Melissa. I'm so happy you made it to Lindsay and Zach's wedding virtually. Lindsay is truly blessed to have had you. There was a special bond you had with Lindsay that a grandmother and grand daughter have. My little sister Melissa, is the best person you and daddy created in the world and has always looked out for your best interests. We never waivered from what you wanted and protected you to the end. You passed peacefully in the home daddy built and were surrounded by love, Natalie and Daisy, and the fantastic paramedics and fire department of Toronto. Although I was 3000 miles away, thanks to FaceTime, Melissa , Lindsay, Arnie, and I accompanied you every step of your transition. Paramedic Adam, is a hero. I've never experienced watching a person transition and he held our hand throughout the process. You didn't suffer. A cough, a few breaths, and a peaceful sleep. Mom, we will miss the late night talks, movies, Martini's, brunches, dinners, and yes, even the complaining about "what's Hedda's game plan". My game plan mother, is to continue to be the best I can. Muskat family, your parents were wonderful people. I have many memories of them growing up on Hearthstone. Nina was such a sweet and kind woman and I remember Zelik always walking the neighbourhood with his shoulders held back and friendly and kind to all of the children. My deepest condolences and may your parents memory be a blessing!

Dear Melissa, when I think of your mother and all those days and nights I had spent at your house talking with her and laughing with her over the years, it makes me so sad for your loss. She called me Nonninca, A name no one has ever called me except her. I treasure that and all the memories I had of her growing up and coming over to your house every night and sitting in your basement for the longest time, and then going upstairs to continue conversation with your mom.
