Eleonore Simkevitz

Passed away peacefully on April 12th.

Beloved wife of the late Joseph Simkevitz,  mother and mother in law of the late Franklin Simkevitz and Elaine Simkevitz and mother and mother in law of Judy and Paul Kupferstein and Oma to 6 grandchildren and  6 great grandchildren. She lived a long life and passed away just short of her 100th birthday.

She was a holocaust survivor and was one of the first war brides to arrive in Canada in early 1945, settling in Montreal and later moving to Toronto to be with her children and grandchildren

She was a lover of fine arts and an avid concert goer and always had several radios on at the same time throughout her home –  playing classical music . She was a marvelous cook and baker

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
