It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Gelber on January 30, 2026. She was a loving wife, mother, aunt and friend. Pat was known for her warm heart, and sense of humour.
Pat lived a life full of curiosity and creativity and was a talented artist and enthusiastic cook. She loved to travel and explore new places, danced with joyful abandon, and delighted in making and appreciating art, including Japanese brush writing, making copper enamel jewelry, painting watercolour landscapes and being a supporting member of the AGO. Pat cared deeply for the people in her life, was generous with her time and resources, volunteering for many years at Baycrest and regularly donated to many causes close to her heart.
She is lovingly missed by her husband, Morton Gelber; her daughter, Leslie Heydon; her brother, Michael Heydon; nephews Paul, Robert and Kyle; and grand-nieces Ananda, Priya and Maya. Her family remembers her as a devoted wife and mother, a loyal friend, and an aunt whose kindness and sense of humor left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
