To all of Paul's family and friends, my sincere condolences. What sad news. Paul was a very good friend while we were at the bank together. I regret that we saw little of each other after retirement. I have such very fond memories of our time together.

Dear Joanna, Gary, Jonah, Moira and Family, How deeply saddened and shocked to hear of Paul's passing. We were very fond of Paul and always looked forward to our yearly get togethers for breaking of the fast for Yom Kippur.

To Moira and all of Paul's family. We are greatly shocked and deeply saddened and offering our sincere condolences. Paul was not only a very close friend, but also the Godfather of Qita-Re, my daughter, and therefore part of our family. We have fond memories of Paul sharing major holidays with us as one of the family, playing football with Lucas, teaching, playing games with all of us, involving us in challenging intellectual conversations. Uncle Paul 's visits were always the highlight and most enjoyed events over the years. We are very grateful for the joys he has given to all of us, and leaving his marks on our children when they were little as well as over the years of growing up. Paul - we miss you greatly, but you are with us in spirit.

Paul was a friend and guide to me at a time when I needed it most. His wisdom and humour, like favourite gifts, still occupy a place in my life and have helped me immensely. I can't think of another person, outside of my parents, who had a greater influence on me. The stories he told are now like a personal mythology - The Fisher Legends. I loved him very much and I wish I'd said it more. My thoughts are with you, Moira.

I worked in Toronto 2003-2004, and Paul was among those who warmly welcomed me to Anshe Minsk Minyah. He was a great friend both local and distant, and always was ready to help others with action, and with tact - regardless of the situation. His friendship, humor and insights will ge greatly missed. May his wife and family be comforted.

On behalf of all of Paul's' friends at the Mississauga YMCA, I extend my condolences and sympathies to Moira and to Paul's family. Paul was a huge Chicago Black Hawks fan and often joked in a nice way with many of the members who were Leafs or Bruins fans. He was a very knowledgeable sports fan and also enjoyed discussing politics. He will be dearly missed by all the guys in the Men's Plus.
