Paul Schonblum

We are saddened by the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved Paul Schonblum at 94 years of age. Holocaust survivor, happily married to his b’shert of 62 years Frances, devoted and loving father of Rabbi Daniel Schonblum and Sylvia and Rabbi Steven Schonblum and Lolita. Cherished Zaidy of Naomi and Nimrod, Chani and Nimrod, Eliyah and Yulia, Joshua and Alice, Joseph and Alexandra, and Deena. Proud great grandfather of Dan, Ron, Shilo, Ariel, Noam, Lia and Naya. Loved by all of his extended mishpucha. Truly a mentch of a person who always looked at the bright side of life and always quick with the joke.
Will be greatly missed.

We cannot begin to express our condolences on the loss of Uncle Paul. Both he and Aunt Fran were my second set of parents. We grew up together, living only 8 houses apart, they always took care of Cary & I and were always there to make us laugh. I really enjoyed visiting them on Verwood. I would learn of stories that I had forgotten as a child which was always accompanied by famous chocolate chip cookies. It was always a pleasure to spend time with both Uncle Paul and Aunt Fran. Uncle Paul was always the consummate joker. He always made you laugh and not just once but several times per hour. Life to him was always happy and he shared that happiness with everyone he met. I was fortunate to spend Passover 2019 with Uncle Paul at Steven & Lolita's and he was still sharp as a tack. That was the last time I saw him. We wish all the Schonblums comfort and our sincerest condolences. Rest in peace Uncle Paul and keep telling those jokes wherever you are. May you all be comforted with all the mourners in Zion & Jerusalem. Love David, Anita, Jordi & Michael
