Paulina (Pola) Piller, born in Balti, Romania and raised in Lima, Peru, lived 91 years and passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021 surrounded by her children at Humber River Hospital where she received exceptional compassionate care in her final days. 
 
She is remembered by her husband of 65 years, Norbert Piller, and leaves behind a great legacy in her beloved four children and spouses, Marcos (Sophie); Perla (Daniel Jabiles Z”L); Madeleine (Tom Yarmon); Lilianne (Aby Schneider); and seven grandchildren, Alberto (Ilana Feld); Luisa; Sandra (Harry Fridman); Clara (Richard Levick); Joseph (Emily Cohen); Melissa; Sarah. Most recently her greatest source of pride and joy were her great grandchildren, Chloe and Daniel. She is also dearly remembered by a large extended family, including Helena, Esther, and Salomon, children of her beloved late brother (Moises Banarer Z”L).
 
Her close friends and community remember her for her strong convictions and many talents including singing, sewing, crocheting, cooking, and detailed retelling of the family’s intricate history.
