We are saddened to inform you of the passing of Perry Pearlston on Sunday, January 1st, 2023. Beloved father of Justin and Danielle. Son of Mona and the late Donald z”l. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Howard and Avital and Jeffrey and Joyce. Loving partner of Monica. He will be greatly missed by his extended family and close friends.

Dear Monica, Justin and Danielle I was very saddened and shocked to hear about Perry’s untimely passing. Perry was a good friend and a good soul. He recognized and responded so very well to the kindness and acceptance of others. He was the first to volunteer to help others. He always wanted to know about the lives of his friends and their children. He never liked talking about himself and his life. Shy , genuine, generous was Perry with a true streak of Judaism and menschelkeit. May his memory forever be a blessing to those that loved and knew him. Rest In Peace and happiness my Freind. His sweetness, compassion and kindness will be missed at The Lodzer Congregation, where he was a valued member of the choir and of the community. Dear Monica and family, I'm very saddened to learn that Perry has passed away so suddenly! It was just recently that I spoke to him during kiddush at Lodzer. I used to see him sitting in shul but I didn't know his name. It was last Purim when I chanted from Megillat Esther, that Perry first introduced himself to me and expressed his appreciation to me. From then on, he always had a smile and would stop to talk to me. I will miss him!

Monica, it is always so sad when we lose a member of the Lodzer family however the sudden loss of Perry is one that is especially painful. I knew Perry going back to Junior High and High School but lost touch for many years. Thanks to the Lodzer we were able to reconnect. Perry was a warm and kind person that always was ready to assist the Lodzer family in any way he could. I will always have fond memories of Perry going back to the early days of playing hockey and seeing him in school as well as all the Synagogues events and services. Losing a partner is so tough and remember the Lodzer family is here for your. Condolences to the entire family.

Dear Pearlston family and Monica I am so saddened to hear of Perry's passing. I met Perry through Gord Akum, and Perry used to bike down to the sailing club quite frequently. i last saw Perry on a couple of occasions in October when we went sailing and biked on the Leslie Street spit. Perry would always enquire into how my children were doing. He was the most sweet, kind, and caring person. He will be greatly missed. May his memory be for a blessing. Larry Chad

Dear Pearlston Family, Perry was like the big brother I never had. We helped each other during difficult times and found peace & happiness in each other’s company. Perry and I never had any disagreements only friendship. I did not always agree with Perry’s approach to life, but, we chose to agree to disagree and moved forward. Perry became my father’s caregiver during the final stages of my father’s life. Perry had such a gentle & caring disposition that I always felt blessed to have Perry caring for my father. I miss Perry already and am still processing his loss. But, I want both Danielle & Justin to know that they are always welcome to call upon me for anything in life and I will do my sincere best to help them any way I can.

Monica, please accepy my heartfelt condolences on Perry's passing. Although I only knew Perry through the Lodzer shul and our choir participation, he was a fixture at most shabatot. I always found him to be a very amiable and appreciative of everyone's efforts in the services. Perry was my friend since childhood although we lost contact and then reconnected in the past 7 years. He was a member of the choir at Lodzer synagogue. He was the type of person who would always ask about you and reveal very little about himself unless asked direct questions. At shul I witnessed him helping people get their coats on, walking them to their seats or cars and helping by lifting the torah high and wide. He was warm, caring and kind. I will mis seeing him at our Parsha of the Week classes on Wednesdays. I keep wanting to pick up the phone to chat! May your memory be a blessing. Susan Gould

I met Perry, at my parents' Shabbos table, when he was their neighbour. I believe that the last time I saw you and Perry, was after a Yom HaShoah service, where your uncle a"h was honoured for his "Megillat HaShoah."
