BELANGER, Philip – On Monday, January 5, 2026 at his home. Philip Belanger, beloved husband of Shannon. Loving father and father-in-law of Raquel and Joe, Marcel and Kyra, Raphael, Danielle, and Patricia. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Arlene and Brian, and the late Richard. Cherished Zaidy of Logan, Joseph, Malcom, and Genevieve. He will be missed by his little buddy, Frank. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society at 1(888) 939-3333.

Steeles Memorial Chapel, 350 Steeles Ave., W., Thornhill.

Burial Service Location

Lambton Hills Cemetery, 1293 Royal York Road, Etobicoke.

Shiva Location

51 Scotchmere Cres., Brampton. Following the interment, and on Saturday, shiva will be private. Sunday only, family and friends may attend the shiva from 2-5 p.m., and 7-9 p.m. Evening service Sunday only, at 7:30 p.m. The remainder of shiva will be private.

My sincerest condolences to Shannon and your family at this deeply sad time. The one thing I really loved about Philip and his family was just how much fun they could have together. You could truly feel the love they have for each other. Philip was a kind and caring person and will be missed greatly.

Dear Shanon and Children and Family. I was so saddened and shocked to learn of Phil's death. I liked him so much. I knew him when we both worked at Benjamin's . I always looked forward to seeing him. We respected and liked each other. Shannon...he always spoke of you with so much love, and Raquel, Marcel and Raphael....he absolutely adored each of you and loved being your father. I'm sure he also felt great affection for Danielle and Patricia. Phil was a kind and caring funeral director and served many families well when they so needed him. He will be missed. May his memory be a blessing. I hope you feel some comfort from your memories and from knowing that so many cared for him.

To Phi's family. I've known Phil for about 38 years. I used to work with him when he was a funeral director at Benjamins. What a nice guy. He always greeted me with a smile. I used to look forward to sdeing him whenever I was at Benjamins and then at Steeles Memorial when attending a funeral. Trrasure all the memories of all the good times. May his memory always be for a blessing.

Phil, such a mentch. always there to help others and a true example of how we should be on our own journey. . He will be missed for his smile and his sense of humor and all that he gave to his community and for all the families he helped in their times of grief while he worked as a director at Steeles Memorial. Rest in peace Phil.
