Philip Charles Valentine, 65, of Toronto, Ontario, passed away on July 9, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was born to parents Arthur James (“Jimmy”) and Helga Valentine, on January 27, 1956 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He was married to Gail Valentine (nee Freedman) in 1981. They recently celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary in May 2021.  

Philip is survived by his mother Helga, brother Andre, sons Sean (Samantha), Carey (Tori) and Coby and wife Gail. He was predeceased by his father, Jimmy. Philip was known for his love of soccer and his family as well as being a kind, compassionate and loving friend. 

Funeral services will be held graveside privately by the family due to COVID restrictions. Shiva will be held at 107 Heatherton Way, Thornhill, Ontario on Sunday directly following the funeral service and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. 

Memorial donations may be made to the Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto.
