Raymond, Philip – On Saturday, November 2, 2019 Philip Raymond (nee Rosenberg) died peacefully at Baycrest Hospital. Beloved husband of Rae Spilberg. Devoted father of Lee Raymond and the late Nicole Maisine. Loving grandfather of Ryan, Jenna, Kyle, Seth, Jeri, Dylan, Marley, Skye, Levi and Archer. He leaves behind a loving family; Lori and John, Jason and Tamar, Ilana, Sam and Carla, as well as nieces and nephews who adored him; Philip, Jessica, Jennifer, Paul, Zachary and Jacob. He touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society 1-888-939-3333 or Baycrest Foundation 416-785-2875.

Yahrzeit Day: 4 Cheshvan

Date of Funeral: Tuesday, November 5, 2019

Time of Funeral: 12:30 PM

Memorial Service Location: Steeles Memorial Chapel, 350 Steeles Ave W, Thornhill, Chapel service.

Burial Service Location: Pardes Shalom Cemetery, 10953 Dufferin St, Maple Solel Congregation Section

Shiva Details: 85 Skymark Dr, Toronto Minha /Maariv 7:30pm Wednesday and Thursday. Visitation 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm Shiva concludes Thursday after visitation.

Phil was someone who always saw the positive glass is more than half full side of life. Always available and patient when advising Carla and me about issues with any tech issue. Loved music and dancing,vintage cars,eBay finds and hold em poker nights.He took his cancer news as a challenge to beat the odds not a defeat.He was adopted by Rae's family and mine with great ease and pleasure.I will cherish the 8 years we had together as brother in laws.

Dear Rae, it has been a difficult time and Phil wanted you to know how much he appreciated you. When Sam and I visited with him he kept repeating "what a good woman you are" so we hope you know how much. Personally I am so very grateful I had a private moment to say goodbye. He opened his eyes briefly and kissed my hand. He was a very sweet, kind and loving person. We will miss him very much. All my love to you Rae and Phil's family.
