Dear Nili and family, We remember Rabbi Korn z'l from his days at Shaar Shalom. In 1988, Rabbi Korn officiated our daughter's Bat Mitzvah and gave a wonderful drash about success in life, which we still recall. Around the same time, so long ago, we remember meeting you and your daughters in the supermarket one Thursday evening. When I asked how the Rabbi was, you said, "he's on his computer writing his sermon". It was the first time it occurred to us that even Rabbis use computers! Dear Nili and family Oh how sorry I am to read this passing. Rabbi Korn was the most understanding person my family and I ever met. We met and got to know him at a very low point in our life. Being a Champlain he knew and always said and gave us good advice. I personally was so sad to see him leave Shaar Shalom but that’s life. Dear Nilly: I am so sad to have just learned of Rabbi Korn's passing. He and I had adjoining offices in the basement of the Adath Israel in the late 1980s. We had many long talks in which he generously shared much wisdom with me. He was a sincere and kind man. My husband and I were honoured to have him co-officiate at our wedding in 1996. I know he has earned a great spot in Olam HaBa. HaMakom yenachem et'chem b'toch shar avay'lay Tzion vee'Yerushalayim. May the Omnipresent comfort you among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
