Raymond passed away peacefully at home. His family made him the richest person alive. With his soulmate, Carmel by his side, they arrived from South Africa in December, 1977. Together they started a new life journey with all four children- Barry, Lara (Donsky), Tracy (Ghan) and Robyn (Berman). His family continued to grow as each of his children brought their spouses into his large embrace: Janice (Brown), Michael Donsky, Darren Ghan and John Berman.

As each of his 11 grandchildren came along his beautiful warm smile grew wider. He found ways to make each feel special. Zachary, Dylan, Sasha, Ethan, Ashley, Olivia, Mallory, Avery, Tyler, Sydney, and Jaymie will really miss their Papa.
As he travelled the world, his large personality and grey hair made him easily recognizable by his loyal Home Hardware and Benjamin Moore Paint store customers. They all appreciated his warmth and extensive knowledge of everything hardware and paint.
He will be very much missed by his very large family spread throughout the globe. His brother Leon and his wife Ettie and their children in Israel, and Bernard and his wife Lynn and their family in Australia.
Last but not least his love for swimming needs to recognized. As he put it “Judaism was his philosophy, swimming was his religion.”
