ISRAELSON, Schmarya Reuven (Reeve) — October 14, 1927-July 12, 2020

Passed away peacefully in his sleep after an evening meal during which he gently held the hand of his wife of 68 years, Barbara (b. 1932). Son of Menachem-Mendel (Manny) and Dora Israelson; predeceased by brother Birrel David Israelson (1922-1948); survived by sister Fai Harris (Stan) (b. 1932); children David Birrel (Susan Elliott) (b. 1954) and Lawrence Seth (Roslyn Jacobson) (b. 1957), grandchildren Dara, Mathew and Brandon, Jacob, Tessa and Jemma, great-grandchildren Ivy and Poppy. In lieu of flowers please donate to Ve’ahavta or UJA Federation of Greater Toronto.

Dear Barbara, Larry, David and family. We are so sorry for your loss. Reeve was one of kind. I remember Reeve as a man who always had great wit and humour, a love for Jazz and always had a wide smile on his face. May you remember all the good times spent together.

Dear Barbara, David, and Larry: It is with much sadness that I read today of the passing of Reeve. We go back many years be it on the golf course or at the mahjong table. Reeve was a big strong man who always took very good care of his wife whom he always referred to her as Barb. He will be terribly missed by her. To all the families please accept my condolences.
