Peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, June 15, 2019. Beloved wife and best friend of 72 years to the late Max, z”l. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Evelyne and David Suchter, and the late Helen z”l and Larry Bossin z”l. Cherished Bubie of Brian and Helen, Melanie and Mark, Robbie and Rebecca, Jana and Bryan, Amanda and Mike, and Lesley and Eli. Wonderful Great-Bubie of Brielle, Jaime, Abby, Harley, Jeremy, Riley, Jacklyn, Shale, Max, Leya, Annie, and Joshua. Rose was the amazing matriach of our family. The love she had for all of us and the Jewish traditions that she instilled, will live in our hearts forever. Memorial donations may be made to the Neuberger Holocaust Education Centre at 416-631-5689, or to the charity of your choice.

Burial Service Location: Mount Sinai Cemetery, 986 Wilson Ave., Toronto, Independant Friendly Workers Circle section

Shiva Details: Following the interment family and friends are invited to 26 Brewsland Cres., Thornhill. From Monday onwards, shiva will be observed privately.

Dear Evelyn There are no words to even begin to ease the pain of yet another major loss. Your mother’s smile and warmth over the years and the care she showed my mother during her illness will always be remembered. I smiled when I recently realized that while they knew each other for over 40 years as neighbors on Pannahill, they continued to refer to each other respectfully as Mrs. Lofsky and Mrs. Berliner.
