Roslyn Linda Willer, born on June 24, 1942, in Toronto, Ontario, passed away on July 29, 2024, in Toronto. She was a beloved mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be cherished by all who knew her.
Linda was a devoted wife to late Marty Schwartz and mother to her children, Vicki Willer, Stacy Kruger and the late Randy Willer. She was a cherished mother-in-law to Lucy Willer and Jon Scattoloni, and a doting grandmother to Abigail, Emily, Jordan, Erin and Victoria. Her family was the center of her world, and she poured her heart and soul into nurturing and supporting them throughout her life.
In addition to her roles within her family, Linda was a vibrant and active member of her community. She had a passion for dancing and could often be found twirling across the dance floor with a radiant smile on her face. Her love for music and movement brought joy to those around her and left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Linda had a generous spirit and regularly donated handmade blankets to senior centers, bringing warmth and comfort to those in need. She found joy in creating these beautiful gifts and took great pride in knowing that they would bring solace to others. Her compassion and selflessness were evident in every stitch she made.
She also enjoyed spending time with her friends, engaging in friendly games of Mahjong and Canasta. These gatherings were filled with laughter, camaraderie, and the joy of friendly competition. Linda’s love for these activities brought her closer to her friends and created lasting memories that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of sharing in her company.
Linda was an active member of the Social Committee in her building, where she dedicated her time and energy to organizing events and fostering a sense of community among her neighbors. Her commitment to creating a warm and welcoming environment for those around her was a testament to her caring nature and her desire to bring people together.
On July 29, 2024, Linda passed away peacefully in her sleep at the hospital, surrounded by the love of her family. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and joy that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have been touched by her kindness.
A graveside service to honor Linda’s life will be held at Mount Sinai Cemetery (Sunnyside Section) on July 30th, 2024, at 1:00 pm. This will be a time for family and friends to come together to celebrate the life of a remarkable woman who brought light and love to all who knew her. Linda’s spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she touched, and her memory will be cherished for generations to come.
