Dear Naomi, Aliza, Shira and Avi. Our thoughts are with you. I have fond memories of working with Ruth at the CJN. She was so energetic, a wonderful colleague and friend. May you be comforted in the memories you have. You all meant the world to Ruth. Baruch Dayan Emet.
On behalf of the Association of Jewish Seniors please accept my sincere condolences. Ruth was an active member of the Association holding the position of President and editor of our newsletter. May you find comfort in fond memories. Baruch Dayan HaEmett.
It is with sadness that I learned about Ruth's passing. May her memory be for a blessing. I met Ruth at the CJN many years ago where we both worked. She was a fine and honorable woman who I became friends with. I will always remember the wonderful conversations and discussions we had. Unfortunately we drifted apart in the past couple of years. She was very much a determined and wonderful colleague.
Dear Family
I worked with Ruth at the CJN for many years. She truly was the definition of a “lady!” We were always able to have great conversations and a good laugh together. I hope you find comfort in your wonderful memories. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.

I met Ruth when she was a CJN sales rep, at a meeting where I was volunteering for a community organization; she was certainly a 'spark' and encouraged me to apply for a similar position as hers at The CJN where she helmed working with community organization sales. I was forever grateful to her for putting that bee in my bonnet to rejoin the work force. Ruth was truly a renaissance woman ... she was a dynamic mentor, teacher and journalist, a woman of strong conviction who had definite opinions and was an intelligent conversationalist. She was knowledgeable about Judaism and had strong insight into human nature, was an advocate for abused women, an admired colleague, always a proud wife, devoted mother and grandmother. Her memory is a blessing. My sincerest condolences to Nomi and family. She will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her and benefitting from her friendship.
I had the pleasure of meeting Ruth when she joined the Association of Jewish Seniors. I enjoyed working closely with her when she immediately became active on our board, specifically as editor of our newsletter. I always enjoyed our conversations and insights.

Dear Naomi & family,
We were very saddened to hear of the passing of your beloved mother, mother-in-law & bubbie.
May the loving memories you have of her be a source of comfort & strength to all of you at this difficult time together with the mourners of Zion & Jerusalem.
Fondly,
Esther & Harold Tabacznik.
Dear Naomi and family, I have very fond memories of both your father and mother A"H over many years at Shaarei Tefillah. May you be comforted at this time of your mother Ruth's passing, a lady worthy of respect.
Naomi, your mother and I were in the same Mizrachi Group - Oriah - many, many years ago. The last time I saw her she was at Omni Jewels & Java for lunch - that was before she decided a retirement home was better than running errands for her friends.
May you know only simchas in the futures.
On behalf of Bikur Cholim, we send you our sincere condolences.
May Ruth's neshama have an aliyah and may she be a meilitz yosher for the entire family.

My condolences to the family of Ruth Goldsmith. It has been many years since I last saw her at a Book Club meeting, but I have never forgotten her.
I worked with Ruth for many years at The CJN and always found her to be the embodiment of the proper, well-spoken English lady. She had wonderful stories of war-time London. One thing I’ll always remember about her was that kept a fastidiously folded tissue under her watch band. She once told me of her sister, a philosopher who had written a book. When I asked to see it, Ruth told me I wouldn’t understand it. She was right.
Dear Naomi:
Memories flood my mind of your lovely late Mom z"l and late Dad z"l as our parents were such dear friends. The end of another era. May her memory be for a blessing and her neshama have an aliya.

She was a wonderful friend to my late mother Irene Picov.
She was so very strong and helped our family get through many challenging days
I would call her often and try to get my mom and Ruth to speak..
I think so were so happy to speak with each other. I brought me joy to see that.
I hope that mom and ruth will be friends in their new journey
