Ruth Klagsbrun

It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of Ruth Klagsbrun, in her 64th year, on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at Sunnybrook Hospital. She will be greatly missed by her mother Sylvia Klagsbrun, her boyfriend Bill Kline, and close friends and cousins.

Memorial donations may be made to Magen David Adom of the Toronto Chapter at 416-780-0034, or Mazon Canada at 416-783-7554.

Date of Death: Sunday, April 10, 2022

Yahrzeit Day: 9 Nissan

Date of Funeral: Monday, April 11, 2022

Time of Funeral: 2:00 PM

Memorial Service Location: Steeles Memorial Chapel, 350 Steeles Ave., W., Thornhill.

Burial Service Location: Pardes Chaim Cemetery, 11818 Bathurst St., Community section.

Ivwas very saddened to hear of Ruths passing. She was a very kind woman with a big heart, always willing to do things and give of herself unselfishly. She will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences to Sylvia, all the cousins and friends.

There are no adequate words to describe the true essence of Ruth. She was kind, thoughtful, generous, compassionate and totally selfless. She was always pleasant, easy to talk to and happy to get together. Unfortunately Covid made things so difficult over these past 2 years. We are so sad to have lost her. To Ruth's Family and Bill Kline. I met Ruth in 1989 and she was a dear friend and colleague of mine through all these years at Immigration. She was was extremely kind, upbeat and positive, always. We laughed and had great fun over the years and she never failed to be interested in all her colleagues and friends. When she became ill, I called her a few times, offering my help. Ruth thanked me and said that she was coping. That was Ruth. She never imposed. I last spoke to her before Hannukah. She was brave and we managed to have a laugh. I grieve her loss, her friendship and her grace. She will continue to inspire me and I am grateful for her long friendship and concern for me. May God bless her and all those who loved her. Although we were but neighbours, Ruth held a special place in our hearts and lives. She always had a smile and a kind word to share. Our girls loved her warmth and would always run out to greet her whenever they saw her sitting outside. Our hearts go our to Sylvia and Bill. Both of whom gave so much of themselves to Ruth. Bill, you were an incredibly loyal friend through to the very end. Ruth was always appreciative of how much you did for her and your heartfelt words at the funeral were a fitting tribute to your friendship. Ruth, your spirit was strong and your passion for Judaism was and still is an inspiration for us all. May her holy neshama soar to great heights. May the Omnipresent comfort all those who feel the tremedous loss as He comforts all the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
