Beloved Wife of the late Joseph Nefsky, and treasured Mother and Mother in Law of Son Marty and wife Marilyn, Son Norman and wife Maria,

and Son Brian and wife Julie.

Ruth Passed away peacefully and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her enthusiasm for

life and love for music always carried us through life’s challenges. She will forever be in our hearts.

The family sincerely thanks her caregivers for their constant support.

Donations in Ruth’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.

Memorial Service Location: Steeles Memorial Chapel

Burial Service Location: Dawes Road Cemetery, Sons of Jacob Section (113) 3169 St. Clair Ave. East Toronto

Shiva Details: 3 Concorde Place, #2803 following the interment service at Dawes Road Cemetery from 2-4 p.m.

We are Heartbroken to hear the news of our Aunt's passing. She was loved by our entire family and we see her every day in the pictures we have in our house. She was very easy to talk to and wonderful to be with.

Dear Norm, Marty and Brian, words cannot adequately express our sense of loss at Ruth's passing. Our memories of her are many and varied; especially sharing in her a love of music. Many were the evenings that we sang along with her in the car after an afternoon or evening performance at the Van Wezel center for the performing arts in Sarasota. She was a joyous woman who took great pride in the accomplishments of her family, and was always open to new experiences. We are grateful for the many opportunities we had to share her friendship.

Ruth Nefsky was my cousin and a very carrying and loving person to be in her company . She always was ver accommodating and gracious to me and my dear beloved wife patty . Ruth Nefsky took good care of my uncle Willy and all of her family . There was always a smile on her face and laughter in her heart . I will miss her very much , she was the patriot off our family . Ruth was very special to my mon Rae Howard and alway made her happy especially when she came to my first marriage in ny with most of my family.

Marshall Garnick

From Ruth's nephew, Marshall Garnick, and his wife, Sara, we were most saddened to hear of Auntie Ruthie's passing. We are pleased that we found the time to have a long visit with her, along with Marshall's sister, Paula, last summer at her home-in the presence of two excellent caregivers. Speaking personally as her nephew, I have vivid pleasant memories going a long way back, including a solid pre test driving lesson as a 16 year old, in her red Dodge Valiant! I also remember her telling me about her trip to Nashville, long ago, where one of the songs she wrote would be recorded. Our condolences to our cousins. May her memory be a blessing to all .
