Ruth Tulchinsky (nee Rice) 82, beloved wife of the late Jerry Tulchinsky, on Sunday April 17, 2022 in Kingston, Ontario. They had a long, wonderful marriage of 56 years. Ruth was a loving mother of Steve, Ellen (Jeff), Laura (Rob), and deeply cherished Bubby of Hannah and Jillian. Survived by her beloved brother Wally (Gitta) of Toronto, and sister Anne (Arie) of Rishon Le-Zion, Israel. An adored aunt to nieces and nephews across Canada, the US, and Israel, and loyal friend to so many. Ruth was born in Lindsay, Ontario in 1939, and later educated in nursing at the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal. Together with Jerry, they spent the first few years of their marriage in different cities in Canada, before settling in Kingston in 1966. Ruth was very involved in the community, especially at Beth Israel Congregation over the years. She was well known for her generosity, kindness, and warmth. She always found the best in people. She will be dearly missed.

As an expression of sympathy, a charitable donation may be made in Ruth’s memory to either Save a Child’s Heart or Partners in Mission Foodbank.

The family will be home to visitors immediately following burial on Tuesday, on Wednesday from 5-7 with prayer service at 6:30 pm, Thursday from 3-5 pm. Family will hold a shiva service on Sunday, April 24th at 6:30 pm by zoom.
