On Friday morning, May 31st, 2019..passed peacefully at Langstaff Square Seniors’ Home, Richmond Hill.
Beloved husband of his adored late wife, Ella. Devoted father to his sons and daughter-in-laws, Willie & Marla Rozen, Morris & Pam Rozen and Jerry & Sherry Rozencwajg.
Cherished Zaidy to Brandon, Damian & Natalie, Justin & Elizabeth, Eryn & Andrew,
Daniel & Lauren, Jordan and Shawn, Lauren and Courtney. Loving great-grandfather to Kayden, Tyler, James, Julian, James, Nicki, Ellie, Charlie and Eddie.
Family was his greatest joy and parties were his passion. Sam did everything with love and with all his heart! He will be deeply missed by all.
Special thanks to his amazing caregivers Grace and Sunny, as well as many others over the years…and to all the staff at Langstaff Square for their compassionate and excellent care.

Dearest Cousins... Willie and Marla, Morris and Pam, Jerry and Shari, your children, their spouses and your grandchildren... It is with a heavy heart that we write this condolence to you. We were deeply saddened to hear of Uncle Sam's passing this morning. Mere words cannot possibly express how broken our hearts are. The wonderful relationship we had with Uncle Sam was unique and extremely close. Uncle Sam had a special way of making everyone he was with feel comfortable and loved. He had a fantastic memory with a love for liturgical music, which was one of his greatest pleasures. We often spoke of my childhood when he and I shared many special times together. May his memory always be for a blessing. We know that G-d and the love from your family and friends will give you strength during this most difficult and sad time. May you find comfort and peace in the many cherished memories you have of Uncle Sam. May you know of no more sorrow. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. We enjoyed many interesting conversations with Sam at Langstaff while our mother Sandra (z’l) was there. He was so positive about life, even after all he experienced as a young man during the War. Mr. Rosencwajg, o"h" applied his super singing talents to really cheer up Jewish Residents at Cheltenham Long-Term Care, North York for well over 12 years, as far as I remember. He was part of a group of volunteers at this nursing home of which I am proud to be part. Our fond memories of Mr. Rosencwajg's sweet voice and chesed live on. We hope the family will come to terms with this most sad loss.

I recall Sam from decades past. I recall my mother recollected Sam as an acquaintance that enjoyed picnicking at High Pk along with others when I was quite young. May Sam rest in peace.

I didn't know Sam very well. My mother mentioned a long time ago they were familiar via locales in Europe and knew some of the same people. Its good he lived a long life but I never knew he had an extensive family- Must've been a comfort to him. Keep well.

ftr i never knew to much of any degree your deceased however my mother spoke of him as a solo fellow though unrelated as blood-kin to her family a former resident of a village my mothers father is associated with as a young man~ kindly remove any former sentiments i left out from kindness~

my mother indicated to me despite in knowledge of some ancestral grounds your deceased is in no way a genetic relation off my mother_adding your deceased had no relations remaining after ww2?
