It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Samuel (Shmulik) Tuszynski in Thornhill, Ontario, Canada.  Sam was at home and surrounded by his beloved family.

As a child in Poland, Sam survived the Holocaust.  While he rarely spoke about his wartime experiences, he was a quiet but proud survivor.  He became a man deeply rooted in Jewish tradition with strong family values.  He later made his home, built his career and raised his family, first in Israel and then in Toronto.

Sam is survived by his wife Varda, his daughter Ronette and son-in law Martin and daughter-in-law Anne, and by his grandchildren and their spouses; Shelby and Jared, Matthew and Cindy, Braden and Victoria and Kyle. He was also a Great-grandfather to Mason, Aiden, Sophia and Harrison. Sam was preceded in death by his cherished son Mickey in 2017.
