Seymour Pollack
June 9, 1922 to June 2, 2023
Royal Canadian Air Force Mechanic
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our amazing husband and father Seymour, on Friday June 2, 2023. Devoted husband of Esther Pollack for fifty-two- blissful and loving years. Father and father-in-law extraordinaire to Dena and Lowell Pancer and Gadi and Elissa Pollack. Adoring Saba to his grandchildren Eve and Lewis Pancer, Jordan and Joshua Pollack. Brother to Sammy Pollack and to the late, Bess Klar, Aaron Pollack, Moshe Pollack, Isadore Pollack, Charles Pollack and Barney Pollack.
Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Seymour served three years overseas with the Royal Canadian Air Force upon his return he started Pollack Fabrics with his brother Isadore. He was a very determined and resilient man throughout his life. In his later years he did not let his old get the best of him. At the age of 90 he moved his wife to Toronto. He quickly adapted to his new routine. He kept his mind sharp, walked every day and took up drawing. He quickly knew his neighbors and became the mayor of the building and later he became the mayor of the Sunny Brook Veterans Center.
You will be missed by many and were admired by all. The family extends their deepest appreciation and love to Dr. Hange as well the nurses, administration and amazing volunteers at the Sunnybrook Veterans Centre for their exemplary care.
