Sharon Louise Simon, beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on February 12, 2024 at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto. She was born on May 6, 1949, in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, and her passing has left a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Sharon was predeceased by her parents Philip and Ada (Goldberg) Simon, and her brother, Stanley.

After graduating from high school Sharon went to Acadia University and had a very successful banking career with CIBC in Toronto.

Sharon was a remarkable woman, known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She was a devoted sister to her brother Stephen and a cherished sister-in-law to Patsy. Sharon’s love extended to her nieces, Jennifer (David Campbell), and Ashley (Keith Worth), and her five great nieces and nephews, Arlen, Greta, and Faye Campbell, and Louis and Eva Worth, also to her cousin Noah Gold, all of whom she adored and doted on with all her heart.

Throughout her life, Sharon touched the lives of many with her gentle spirit and compassionate nature. She was a loyal and supportive friend, always ready to lend a listening ear or offer a comforting embrace. Her genuine empathy and understanding made her a pillar of strength for those around her. 

Sharon’s love for life was evident in her vibrant personality and her love of socializing. She cherished her friendships and enjoyed spending time with her dear friends, going out to eat, and creating wonderful memories that will be forever treasured. Her presence brought much joy to every gathering she attended. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who were touched by her love and compassion.

Sharon’s legacy of love and kindness will forever be a guiding light for all who were fortunate enough to have known her.

Funeral service and burial were held on Tuesday, February 13 at the Steele’s Memorial Pardes Chaim Cemetery.
