Dear Mark, David and Rich, Please accept my heartfelt condolences on your mom's passing.  I have so many lovely memories of her and your dad, going all the way back to Caines Ave. Your mom was the most beautiful lady, inside and out. I never heard her say a negative word about anyone, and she was always elegant, gentle, thoughtful and considerate.  Your parents obviously adored and respected each other - not the 'standard' in our time. Your home was a warm and wonderful place to visit. While I was in town during the summer of 2018, I visited your mom at her recent residence, with my mom, too. Sheila really lit up, and I know that she knew my mom, but I swear that she recognized me as well.  The three of us sat at a table and I called up some videos on my phone  that I thought she might enjoy looking at on Youtube, like the one of the elephant that paints pictures (in Thailand?).  And I showed her a recording of myself, playing guitar and singing, which also seemed to delight her.  The visit was topped off with a little bit of chocolate. Sheila was an amazing friend to my mom, who will be mourning her loss.  I want to thank you all for staying in touch with my mother and keeping her informed.  She loves you all, too, and tells me when she speaks with you.  It means so much! I will stream the funeral at 3pm.  Memories of Sheila will be blessings to all of us who had the pleasure and honour of knowing her. Love, Carol Liebman

Dear Winkler family, we have never met, but I knew your mom & dad because I am a cousin of your mom from the Greenberg side of the family. Your grandmother, Betty Pollock and my mother, Molly Rossman nee Weiser were cousins. Although I was closer to your aunt Maxine, I have fond memories of your mom. The last time I saw her, many years ago, she graciously invited your cousin Maxine & I..... and our auntie Rose Kates (my mother’s sister) for a lovely lunch in her home. She was a wonderful host! Your dad was home at the time and he gave me a copy of his book of jokes he had just published. I still have it in our condo in Toronto. I have been living in California for over 40 years, but used to visit Toronto every year. Recently my husband Harvey passed away. He too was in a memory care facility, I do relate to the losses you have experienced. I attended your mom’s funeral and was so pleased to hear your beautiful words about her. It confirmed my feelings I had all these years. My sincerest condolence and may the memories of both your parents be a blessing.......cousin Elaine

Dear Mark, David and Richie, I wish to convey my sincere condolences, in memory of your (wonderful) mother. She was one of a kind and was very kind. She was very soft spoken and never had a harsh word to say about anybody. She was one of my dearest friends. Your Mother also became a concerned friend of my son Joel, who's birthday she remembered every year as it was the same day as one of her Grandsons. I will cherish both, your dear Mother and your dear Father's memories forever. May you and your families find solace in her memory and may your dear Mother's memory be for a blessing.
