My heart is broken along with her family and friends. To me she was both. I still can't believe she's gone . Shirley never judged others, and apologized if she complained , something she rarely did. You gave us a home when we didn’t have one and we shared so many laughs and special memories together. I am so sorry to hear of Shirley's passing. I first met her in October of 1994 when I applied for a job at Rosedale Wallcoverings and Fabrics. She was the receptionist and was very kind and personable. We ended up working together for close to 15 years at two different companies. We became friends as did most of the people she worked with. She will be greatly missed for her warmth, kindness and great joy of life. Rest in peace dear friend.

Through the years we shared so many stories and I always felt very connected to her. I hope she knows how special she was to so many. I worked with Shirley at Blue Mountain Wallcoverings. She was always a smiling happy person to greet at the beginning of my work day; she was such a fun and loving person. Her love was strong for people and animals alike. My condolences to her family. She will be missed but forever loved in all of our hearts.

This past summer I went to Israel and Shirley asked me to put a note in the wall for her - I was happy to do that for this lovely friend. She was a gem and will be missed.

Shirley became a friend in Oakville, and we spent time getting to know each other while walking our dogs along the ravine paths. I will miss Shirley’s caring, her ready smile, her intellect and her joie de vivre. As she loved dogs, I have given a donation to the Oakville and Milton Humane Society in her memory. Rest in peace Shirley…you deserve it!
