Wendy, Linda and families, So sorry for the loss of your Mom Shirley. She was always so warm and welcoming whenever I came to over to your childhood home. In later years we would see her at United Bakers or around town and she always remembered us with a big smile and we would have a quick catch up. Dear Wendy and family Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of your mom.

Everyone has a Grandma, however, I know that mine was the best. From yearly birthday cakes (Grandma Cakes) for all her grandchildren, to letting us 'escape' our parents and come stay with her and Grandpa in Marco Island when we were younger and needing a break from the cold of Toronto, to FaceTime calls whenever far a part and enjoying lots of salt water taffy together, Grandma did whatever she could to find things to relate back and give back to each of her grandchildren, myself included. She was my only grandmother growing up, and was always there for me, while always supporting everything I did life wise, which was apparent from newspaper clippings and s she'd send me whenever something came up that reminded her of an experience or job I used to have. She lived a great life and I feel so lucky to not only be her grandchild and carry out various traditions and mindsets she left, but that she also was able to connect and be a great memory for my own child Chloe. Chloe loved her great grandma and while she fully doesn't understand what just happened, the videos, photos and "instagram likes" that Grandma made sure to leave behind each day will forever be remembered so she can look back at it all as she gets older, knowing her great grandma loved her so so much. We can all only hope to live a life like Grandma did, and be surrounded by all those who love us when we go. I know grandma is looking down and will be with myself and everyone she loved forever. Love you grandma, and love you mom (Wendy) for always making sure to bring my own family closer to Grandma whenever you could in her final days.

Another bittersweet part of life I share with the family of Shirley (Sorah-Rivka Wolkovsky (Wolkowysky)i Latchman. I came to know Shirley when she was dating my cousin Marvin with whom I had a close sibling relationship from early childhood . Through the years, We enjoyed each other’s triumphs and helped each other with problems for many years. Shirley’s grace and charm, her innate wisdom, enriched my life. Her spirit is ever a blessing. Her spirit will ever be a blessing !
