It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Shlomo Izchaki, a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, on 10/Dec/2024. Shlomo departed this world suddenly, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to his family and community.

Shlomo was born on 16th Feb 1945 in Iran, where he spent his younger years before embarking on a life filled with purpose and compassion in Israel and later to Canada. He was a man of great integrity, whose character was defined by his devotion to his loved ones, his strong moral values, and his steadfast commitment to the Jewish/Israeli community.

As a father, Shlomo was a pillar of strength and a guiding light, always ready with words of encouragement, a listening ear, and boundless love. His children were his pride and joy, and he worked tirelessly to ensure their happiness and success. As a grandfather, he delighted in sharing his wisdom and stories, bringing laughter and warmth to every moment spent with his grandchildren.

Shlomo’s contributions to his community were equally inspiring. Always extending a helping hand to those in need and fostering a sense of togetherness and mutual respect.

Shlomo is survived by his beloved family: Son Josef Izchaki, Daughter Shirley Izchaki. Grandchildren Coral, Yuval and Liel Izchaki, Jonathan and Daniel Godfrey, and brother Eli Aschaiek. He is predeceased by his father Yosef Aschaiek, mother Tufacha Aschaiek, brother Issac Aschaiek and sisters Nelda Cohen and Tina Rachamim z’l.

The funeral service will be held on Friday 13th Dec 2024 at Pardes Shalom. Following the burial, the family will observe Shiva starting Saturday night at 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm at his home at 50 Disera Drive unit 1405 buzzer 208, where they will welcome visitors to share memories and pay their respects.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity or organization of your choice, in honour of Shlomo’s life and values.

Shlomo’s memory will forever be a blessing to all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
