Simon Amar passed away peacefully at home surrounded by all his children June 20, 2021. Beloved husband of The late Alice Amar. Father of John and Cheryl, Victor, Stella and Peter Ekstein, Lily and Michael Sherkin, Sylvain and Kim, and Norman. Grandfather of Jason, Jory and Ali, Jaclyn and Nate. Eli, Orli and Ryan Zale, and Leor. Adam, Allison and Aaron. Matthew, Shaina, David and Elan. Great Grandfather of Cole and Myles.

The Kindest Soul on this planet.

We will all miss him.

My condolences to Simon's family. Simon was a kind and gentle soul who had a great sense of humour. I recall in the lobby hallway of the building Simon lived in making so much noise talking, joking and laughing with Simon. He was a good friend to all those who knew him and will be sorely missed.
